Joint Line Q train Santa Fe’s “Q train” from Denver is southbound at Sedalia as it runs over Colorado’s Joint Line on July 5, 1987. The train originated at Big Lift, which is Santa Fe’s intermodal terminal 20 miles south of Denver, and is headed for La Junta, where the TOFC will connect to other “Q trains” at this location.
Aside from Warbonnets and Chiefs, Santa Fe was a workaday railroad like any other. This album showcases that less glamorous--but no less vital--side of the famous ATSF.
