60 years have passed since Cheyenne last heard the roar of a Big Boy as it stormed out of town westbound up Sherman Hill. On May 2nd, 2019 what was once a daily ritual was recreated thanks to the efforts of Union Pacific's Steam Crew. As the sun prepares to drop beneath the horizon UP 4014 catches its warm glow as it storms out of town on 3 track. At Speer the Big Boy will leave the Overland Main and use to Greeley Subdivision to Greeley, CO during its first mainline trial run.
