This picture was taken at St. Clet more than 22 years after the beautiful photo at the same location recently posted by Ian Stronach. It's interesting to consider what had changed and what had stayed the same. Westbound trains were no longer required to stop here for a standing inspection. The classic CP maroon and grey has not only given way to Action Red, but the Action Red scheme itself has gone from 5 inch stripes across the cab front to 8 inch stripes on the nose and the Multimark emblem is on its way out. Several cars were spotted at the grain elevator in 1969, but the grain elevator appears to be out of use by the railroad in 1991. Six-Axle MLWs were new to the CP in 1969 and continued to be common in 1991, particularly on trains 507/508 and 921/906, but change was on the horizon.
