Almost lost in the falling snow is an approaching westbound BNSF coal train crossing the long bridge over Lake Pend Oreille at Sandpoint, Idaho, on January 28, 2020. BNSF is busy working on the approaches of a new parallel bridge that will soon be built allowing double track on this bottleneck on the “funnel” between Sandpoint Junction and Spokane.
