Remarks & Notes

Savage Services has painted/wrapped SD40-2 #8638 into this flashy "Salutes Our Veterans" scheme. Built in 1978 as BN 7090, the unit later served as NS 3464 before being acquired by Savage and renumbered 8638. Mechanical and cosmetic work was done at the Aberdeen Carolina & Western shop in Candor, NC, the unit will be assigned to a new Savage Services property in Texas.
