Remarks & Notes

Amtrak PO50, the Cardinal, ambles by the last C&O signal on the CSX Kanawha Sub...and probably the whole mainline, in Russell. Luckily Amtrak was two hours late at this otherwise dark shot...and luckily I didn't catch many wandering eyes from the security patrolling the adjacent AK Steel lot.

Kentucky hasn't been lucky with Amtrak. The Floridian and Kentucky Cardinal are gone. The Cardinal runs only three times a week. The City of New Orleans passes through in the middle of the night. Yet, there are still many good views to be seen.
