A Cyprus Northshore ore train works upgrade away from Lake Superior at Silver Bay, Minnesota, along an empty County Highway 3 on September 20, 1991. The train is powered by a pair of rare EMD SD28s, bracketing a trio of EMD SD18s. All are former Reserve Mining, with only one fully painted in new Cyprus colors. Only six SD28s were built, with Reserve mining getting four (Nos. 1233-1236) in 1965.
