CN 1439 idles away in track AA14 at Hamilton paired up to CN 7058, this will be our 0800 Hamilton Yard Job's power for the day, drilling cars, building the 1500 and 1600 afternoon Hamilton assignments that service customers in the industrial part of Hamilton. Time was running out for this unique London built beauty along with three other sisters all assigned either in the GTHA or out in London. Now all GMD1's are off the roster, retired and some scrapped. No longer will these unique machines grace the rails pulling local's or drilling the yard.
