| Most days one could just sit by the tracks and watch coal trains go past like a steady procession, loaded or empty. It's a crisp and clear December afternoon as the 8051 arrives in Fremont with a set of empties. The single track former C&NW line from Missouri Valley, IA that bypasses Omaha widens to three tracks entering Fremont to accommodate westbound traffic while crews are changed. |
