Ok, this was one of the weirder days. So we met this railfan in Romania, and hunted a few Malaxa railcars in the morning. At some point he made a few phone calls, and got excited, because apparently there's some steam train running in the afternoon. At first, we were not too excited, because we were more interested in taking pictures of some class 60 Sulzer diesels (built in Switzerland, after all!).
Anyway, we decided to give it a go, without knowing what to expect. And indeed, in some small town we found this steam train, ready to leave. It took another hour until it finally left, but the line was actually quite nice, and we made a few pictures. But at the last station, much to our surprise, we found this truck with rails on the trailer.
It didn't take long until they started loading the locomotive onto it (no winch, just using its own power), as if this was the most common thing in the world. Some time later they left. Destination: A town on the other side of a mountain pass! Turns out that this Austrian bought quite a big workshop (even has a cooling tower!), where they still fix railway equipment, and as a "toy" he has this steam locomotive. Unfortunately there's no suitable railway line there to use it on, so they bring it here when they want to take it for a ride.
