Remarks & Notes
With a temporarily adjusted schedule due to MOW activity on the Moffat line, Amtrak's westbound California Zephyr is currently running through the high country in the late afternoons. From a photography standpoint, this is a great change as it gets that great afternoon light, or in this case, a pretty spectacular rainbow that I chased all the way from Kremmling to Granby as the clouds passed overhead.

The GE Genesis series are well known for being Amtrak's locomotive. With confirmation of retirement from Amtrak themselves, their time is limited. Now is your chance to catch them before the chargers arrive!
