The most notable portion of the 1984 World’s Fair Daylight’s leg that brought it to Los Angeles was its assault over Tehachapi. Less remarked is that it did not take the Palmdale Cutoff over Cajon Pass, but instead descended into the LA Basin via the Soledad Canyon Line. Here the beautifully-matched thirteen car train rolls through Soledad Canyon, with the rear of the train crossing under the Soledad Canyon Road bridge.. |
