On a beautiful November morning the photographer was lucky to catch an old Alco Century working the Alpena Yard job. According to sources the old D&M Alcos will be gone by the end of 2009.

This old crossbuck has lead a rough life. Today she is bent, had bullet holes through here, and probably more. However she still stands strong and guards motorists from Lake State Railway trains.
