Yes, that is a coal seam in the upper background above my favorite CSX GE.

A Union Pacific GE U30C and two C30-7 units are all clean under a clear blue sky in Cheyenne.

Originally L&N and then SBD, this early phase U30B was actually on the point of a southbound freight doing some switching.

Newly repainted and probably on borrowed time, this unit is far away from the high priority freights it was purchased for.

L&N acquired only four U28Cs. They were later upgraded to 3000HP and fortunately looked unchanged.
