Under threatening skies, FEC 101 hustles into Bunnell. Florida has seemed to have resumed it's "rainy season" due to tropical moisture overspreading the state.
In an unusual move, FEC 910 ran from New Smyrna to Bowden with intermodal to Jax and then returned dragging a sole GP38-2 likely for work at the New Smyrna shops.
Grupo Blue 414 lead the 905 on this mild and settled day. The 414 and 412 are the only ones to wear this livery, so far.

FEC 905 rumbles through the Florida jungles and swamps west of Palm Coast lead by the mighty 422 which has been a favorite motor for this train.
What a difference a week makes in the weather. Last week tides and rain, this week settled and sunny as 226 makes it's normal appearance.

Storm Surge from a local nor'easter threatened the FEC mainline with water actually approaching the rails in some spots. The FEC was still operating with caution through the area.
Nor'easter conditions along with lunar tides brought a considerable storm surge and flooded St. Augustine, but FEC was able to keep running.
The NASA cars now empty head back northward, after delivery in June and unloading over the summer at Kennedy Space Center.
