In January of 2001, McCloud Railway #18 returned to service after being repurchased from the Yreka Western and overhauled. At the time, #25 was scheduled for some much needed work. On January 14th the two engines double headed pushing McCloud's home built snowplow and seen in this photo at Bartle. By spring of 2005, #18 had been sold and #25 still sat unrepaired in the McCloud engine house and by summer of 2006, all trackage East of McCloud had been abandoned including that in this photo.
