Remarks & Notes |
As we pulled into Winter Park the conductor announced that it was 3 degrees with 80 MPH winds. Still, the trian was crowded, having gained popularity under Ansco Investments. The three F40PHs are former Amtrak units. The coaches are ex Canadian National 1968-vintage Hawker-Siddeley Tempo cars (along with a couple Budd streamliners). Able to carry 750 passengers, it has the largest capacity of any scheduled passenger train in the U.S. |
