Remarks & Notes
Three brand new GP40-2s and some borrowed Conrail units start to warm up on bitter cold day. This yard was partially owned by the B&M and partially by the Delaware & Hudson. It was the beginning of the B&M's Fitchburg Division and had been one of the largest freight yards in the United States at one point. Today, there is nothing left but a single Canadian Pacific (Delaware & Hudson) track.
