| A very unusual sight – a freight engine on VIA Rail’s Canadian passenger train. CP5734/6412/6625 (SD40-2/F40PH-2/FP9B) and #2 Canadian pauses for a crew change at Field. I rode the cab of 5734 along the Cascade Sub from Mission to North Bend courtesy of the engineers. The SD40-2 on the point was added in Vancouver as there was a problem with 6412. The two hoggers were very apologetic that I should have to ride in such on old locomotive - I was ecstatic! |
