Remarks & Notes
Stiff winds blowing down the east side of Marias Pass have a habit of toppling lightweight freight cars or ripping empty intermodal containers from stack trains. Midvale Creek Trestle features a substantial steel windbreak, seen here as Amtrak's eastbound Empire Builder approaches the station at East Glacier.
