Remarks & Notes
The BNSF 9647 leads another MAC on empty coal train that is nearing the Mississippi River Bridge and the crossing from Illinois to Iowa at Burlington, IA. The 9647 was the first locomotive to bear BNSF lettering, introduced in late August 1995, this paint scheme was in a one-of-a-kind "commemorative" scheme, combining ATSF's "Warbonnet" with BN's "executive" schemes.

Railroad Pole Lines

Album created by member Matt Weldon

Photos showing the railroad pole lines. The pole line used four basic electrical circuits - telegraph, telephone, signaling, and power. Modern technologies of fiber optics, microwave, radio, satellite, and computers have been replacing the pole lines.
