TEP60 locomotive at Vitebsk station with passenger train Polotsk - Moscow. The TEP60 diesel locomotive had been built since 1960 year (last engine was buitt in 1985). It`s a passenger locomotive with AC/DC transmission and individual axle traction control, designed to haul passenger trains on the Russian gauge railway network of eastern Europe. Most of this locomotives ceased to operate on former USSR railroads in the early 2000s years. TEP60 is currently actively serviced only in Repiblic of Belarus.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
