Remarks & Notes
Afternoon rush hour has begun and several CNW commuter trains wait there turn for platform space for the afternoon parade north and west out of Chicago. CNW 504 is a "Crandall" E8 rebuilt by CNW from a UP E8B. CNW 425 and mate are F7s pulled from freight service in the early 1960s and modified for commuter service. The vintage semaphores have been replaced with tri-color lights.
