The Cincinnati Northern has always been a special thing in my life, I grew up very near the old roadbed near Waldron, my first house I lived at on my own was literally placed on the roadbed in Hudson, one of my companies plants is built on it in Paulding, my brother lives just a mile from it outside of Greenville. My Senior Pictures were taken on it in Bryan. One of the few remaining stretches of the line extends south from the Norfolk Southern Chicago Line in Bryan, Ohio. The last customer on the line ceased to receive anythign about a year ago, the last steam on the line was probably in the 50's. So all of this adds up to something amazing for me.
Here NKP 765 comes down the old CN to wye the train and turn back towards Elkhart on an employee special. 16 cars, no diesel, pure amazingness. I have always poo poo's steam but have grown more and more fond of it over the past few years. This may not look like much but this is one of the most special things I have ever had the pleasure of seeing.
