Remarks & Notes
Double Gs (and an E). Thanks to the efforts of the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey and Star Trak, Inc., the hills of northern New Jersey is the only place to see two cosmetically restored PRR GG1s side-by-side. PRR 4877, at right, wears the 1935 as-delivered 5-stripe Brunswick Green paint scheme, while newly restored 4879, center, shows off the simplified single-stripe and large Keystone scheme applied to all the GG1s 20 years later. NJDOT E8A 4253, also an original PRR unit, is another accurate restoration of the last paint scheme the engine wore in regular service.

The best that the Streamlined Era had to offer, brought together in one handy album. Includes EMD, Alco, Baldwin, F-M, and GE - plus a few surprises.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
