Atlantic Coast Line "Copperhead" No. 1031 slumbers inside the Spencer roundhouse in the company of Duke Power 0-4-0T No. 111. After being retired by the ACL, it was used by two short lines, the East Carolina Railway and the Virginia & Carolina Southern. After being displayed in Florence, South Carolina, for many decades, it was acquired by the NCTM in 1994 and restored to its 1940s ACL appearance.
