Remarks & Notes
Inside the Great Hall at the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh's Strip District is this nicely-restored PCC car. No. 1724 was built by the St. Louis Car Company in 1948 for Pittsburgh Railways, and ran into the 1980s. Today, the restored interior is open for inspection, and as such the car is very popular with visitors of all ages.
