Remarks & Notes
Saint Louis-San Francisco 863, the first of 279 B30-7’s turned out GE, rolls across a short trestle in Carrollton, Texas, on May 2, 1979, headed for Fort Worth. Built in 1977, the 3,000-hp dash-7 is easily distinguished from its predecessor U-boats by its flared radiator. Another spotting feature, Frisco’s eight units ride on trade-in trucks from the road’s Alco FA’s.
