Remarks & Notes
Amtrak's Phase IV heritage unit leads the SB Adirondack into Schenectady station on it's way from Montreal to New York City. The train is on the connection track from the former D&H (Now CP/NS junction) to the former New York Central passenger main. The track to the left goes across the Erie Blvd bridge on it's way to a connection with the CSX freight main at CP-169 in Hoffmans. The former NYC 4 track passenger main is still protected by a classic NYC style searchlight that was installed in the Conrail era when this area was rebuilt in 1978.

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
