Remarks & Notes
Assault on Brandy Station

Putting on a show for patrons of the 1979 NRHS convention, Royal Hudson 2839 crests the small hump on the Southern Railway’s main line at Brandy Station, Virginia. The Canadian immigrant quickly gained a reputation of not being capable of handling a heavy train in a lot of the Southern’s terrain, but it was doing all right on the northern section of the route of the Crescent on this September morning.
