UP 8444 (now back to 844) rolled east along the Columbia River at Wyeth, OR on a Special to the Pendleton Roundup. The train went east from Portland on the 14th, spending the night in La Grande before turning and heading back west over the Blue Mountains to Pendleton, then returning back to Portland.
