An empty coal train blast thru the crossovers at Argyle in far southeastern Iowa on the Marceline Sub. For awhile the Santa Fe/BNSF had a contract to run this coal train from New Mexico to Chicago. These trains started in September 1992 and ran from the York Canyon Mine in New Mexico via Raton Pass, to the C&NW at McCook, IL, via the IHB. The C&NW took them up to the Wisconsin Electric Oak Creek plant just south of Milwaukee, WI. Service ended sometime in 1996.
