Remarks & Notes
The Blue Ridge Special After crossing the Old Fort Loops NS 958 "Blue Ridge Special" with J-Class 611 in charge, sprint once again through Black Mountain, NC on its final leg of its run to Asheville, NC. It was a successful run to Asheville with only a minor set back. The 66 year old J-Class 611 had run flawlessly with no strings attach, "its no wonder that they say this streamliner design steam locomotive the finest of its kind." Once the train arrive in Asheville, it will make the turn on the wye on the old Saluda line and layover for a couple of hours before the train work its way east for Spencer at dusk.
