Remarks & Notes

A Canadian National northbound climbs the grade up Pavillion Mountain. The grade is one of longest 2.2% grades in North America. Train 571 is curving thru 10-14 degree curves between Fountain and Glenn Fraser, BC. A BC Rail SD40-2 (PTC) was rated for almost exactly as much tonnage here, as a DRGW SD40T-2 (PTC) on Tennessee Pass!!!
