Along the Cliffs: Amtrak F59PHI 455 brings train 580 along the cliffs in Del Mar on its way to San Diego. The plan is to eventually have the railroad bypass this section by means of a tunnel under Del Mar.

Some of the best passenger locomotives that EMD ever made (aside from the F40PH). With all Amtrak F59s gone from the Surfline, the only place that they can be seen is with Caltrans (Amtrak California).
