Remarks & Notes
BNSF’s Cody local rumbles eastward over an unique bridge arrangement while departing Ralston, Wyoming, on June 28, 2018. The local is passing over a combination girder bridge with wood trestle approaches, over an old highway overpass, which is all passing over Alkali Creek. Barely still visible on the bridge is “CB&QRR” markings, the former builder and owner of the branch to Cody. The eastbound train is headed for the connection to BNSF’s Casper Subdivision at Frannie, and is EMD-powered by GP38-3R No. 2392 and SD40-2 No. 1659 still in Burlington Northern Cascade green.
