Remarks & Notes

As the winter sun drops low, the Amtrak yard crew aboard RS-3 103 pushes the equipment for an outbound corridor train from Southampton Street yard into South Station. Amtrak 103 was built as NYC 8236, later PC 5236. Boston Terminal Tower 1 in the background opened with the station in 1899 and lasted until the mid-1980s rebuilding of the station and approaches.
