Remarks & Notes |
This crew is getting underway westbound on the tough Charleston & Western Carolina, but they have 18,000hp (three SCL SD45s and two Clinchfield SD45-2s) to ease their pain. I was led to understand that at Spartanburg - where the Clinchfield and the mountains begin - power was often reduced because of the CRR ROW's superior engineering. I may be off on Walton Way. It was forty years ago. |
