Remarks & Notes
While not the biggest snowstorm in recent memory by any means, a scheduled Monday off happened to work out as the Central Maine & Quebec hadn't run down the Searsport Branch since the previous week ahead of the snow. On January 20, 2020 they made their usual Monday run down to the shoreline in weather as close to perfect as one can get this time of year in Maine. Roadside piles were still respectable, as we found out at Back Winterport Road in Hampden. B23-7 2006 was running solo and at speed as it blew up the first of many crossings over the 29 mile branch.
