Erie all the way. Erie 833 (E8A, ex-CR 4022, exx-EL 833, nee-Erie 833) is a static resident of the turntable in Port Jervis, NY as seen on the morning of Saturday, February 22, 2020. dAfter a storied career of hauling the Erie’s long distance trains, Conrail’s Office Car Specials, and more recently excursions across New Jersey and New York, it last left home to attend the “Streamliners At Spencer” event in 2014. While there are no known plans for it to operate in the near future, it sits in very good physical condition and certainly looks like it could lead the next Hoboken bound train.
A growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom seen beauty of railroads in the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (I still find new "Lights In The Night"!)
