| Est Railway 4-6-2 No 31023 waits at La Villette ready to reverse down to the Gare de l'Est, Paris in 1934. It was one of 40 Pacifics built in 1914-23 that later became SNCF class 231B and were superseded by former PLM Pacifics cascaded from their home region by 1960.
