During summer '98, BNSF took delivery of a number of new C44-9W's only partially painted. Here, a pair were leading an eastbound steel coil train that the DS has put in the short Metro Link Norwalk station siding to get an eastbound Amtrak train around before it could continue on to the California Steel Products plant in Fontana.
