On the afternoon of April 30, 1988, a westbound Santa Fe stack train works upgrade through Houlihan’s Curve climbing Edelstein Hill west of Chillicothe, Illinois. The train is powered by GE C30-7 No. 8104, still in red and yellow SPSF merger paint, with EMD SD40-2 No. 5092 and SD45-2 No. 5832 trailing.
