Remarks & Notes

CPR had three E8's. They were acquired in 1949 for use on passenger trains between Montreal and Boston jointly operated by CPR and the Boston and Maine. When ordered they were to be E7's like the B&M's but by the time they were to be built the E7 had been discontinued and replaced by the E8.
