Remarks & Notes
Southern Pacific SD7 1427, built in August 1953, is the former SP 2727, originally SP 5320. While no longer used in passenger service, the engine still has a water tank (which is missing its cap) and steam generator vents on the top of the short hood. (Taylor Yard, Los Angeles, California – June 29, 1977)
