I was a newcomer to Seattle in summer 1974, and a GN fan. What a pleasant surprise it was to come across GN 98, an SW8 built a few weeks after I was born, in June 1951, still wearing its GN number and most of its logo. The only clue to BN was the GN initials missing (but not replaced) to the left of the headlight. Apparently it handled switching chores for Amtrak at this point in time between King St. station and the coach yard.
