The nose of Wisconsin Central no. 1, the Francis. J. Wiener fills the door frame of one of the stalls at North Fond du Lac's diesel shop at WC's Shops Yard. The oldest loco on WC's roster, and the only SW1, this EMD relic began life as New York Central no. 683 in August 1941. It became Conrail 8480 before joining Wis. Central.
