| Celebrating history The February 1942 issue of Trains magazine featured a photo by William (Bill) Moedinger Jr. of the #20 which became one of the most iconic photos of the Rio Grande Southern ever taken. It featured a brakeman riding the pilot watching for rockfall while the engineer leaned out his window watchfull as well. For Saturday's Train's charter, we attempted to recreate the Moedinger shot in the cut at the RR museum and it didn't come out half bad! Here's my take - note that I did slant the image a bit in post to simulate the lean angle in the original. |
