The engineer gives a hearty wave from the cab of C30-7 No. 5593 on a Burlington Northern coal train led by five GE locomotives climbing out of a sag in the undulating Black Hills Subdivision main line west of Newcastle at Pedro, Wyoming, on the afternoon of July 3, 1989.
