Polar in the snow. Webb Rail's former Amtrak FL-9 488 (née-New Haven 2016) leads the Morristown & Erie Railway's Polar Express over the Whippany River in East Hanover, New Jersey on the afternoon December 17, 2016. After serving the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad as 2016, it would go to Penn Central and Conrail as 5016, and would be numbered 239 by Amtrak before becoming 488. Since arrival at the M&E, it worked several years on their operation in the State of Maine called the "Maine Eastern" before being arriving in Morristown.
